Sensorial Activities
The young child is building her intelligence through her senses and her hands. The sensorial materials help the child deepen her perception of similarities, differences and identities, which form the very basis of human intelligence. These materials are scientifically and precisely created for sharpening the child’s senses. By repeatedly working with these materials, the child refines her understanding of the abstract qualities of colours, dimensions, textures, temperatures, tastes etc. Working with the sensorial materials and activities help the child build the ability to discriminate and judge, lay the foundation for mathematics, and acts as a springboard for imagination and creativity.
